Mumamoo’s First Stop in Sydney: A Successful Bar Takeover at Cafe T.A.N.K
Share

For the very first time, Mumamoo landed in Sydney, Australia — bringing the spirit of Shanghai’s coffee culture to a new corner of the world. We were honored to host a special coffee bar takeover at Cafe T.A.N.K, and what unfolded was far more than just a pop-up event — it was a heartfelt cultural exchange through coffee.

Nestled within a welcoming Sydney neighborhood, Cafe T.A.N.K is more than just a café — it’s a true community hub. The café is proudly dog-friendly, and the owner knows the name of every dog that walks through the door. There’s even a special menu designed just for furry friends. Adding to its charm, the walls are adorned with hand-drawn illustrations of local neighborhood dogs, personally created by the owner — turning the space into a living gallery of community stories and love.

It was the perfect place for Mumamoo’s Sydney debut.
For one unforgettable day, we transformed the bar into a stage for our signature creations. Sydney coffee lovers lined up to experience a taste of our Shanghai-born brand — curious, passionate, and open to new flavors from afar. Seeing people connect through coffee across continents reminded us why we do what we do.

Our popular coffee combo set quickly became a crowd favorite, thoughtfully curated to showcase balance, creativity, and modern specialty coffee expression. Each cup represented our dedication to craftsmanship and flavor storytelling.

Another highlight of the event was our signature Dirty coffee — bold espresso gently poured over chilled milk, forming beautiful layers with a silky texture. Smooth yet powerful, minimal yet expressive, the Dirty captured our brand philosophy perfectly: drink coffee, see the world. It symbolizes contrast and harmony — just like traveling, where different cultures meet in one shared experience.

From Shanghai to Sydney, this milestone marks another chapter in Mumamoo’s journey. Every city we visit adds new inspiration, and every collaboration deepens our understanding of global coffee culture.
Sydney, thank you for welcoming us so warmly. This is only the beginning. The world is our café — and we’ll keep exploring, one cup at a time.
